    Night at the Cement Factory

    afdlips and I went to the cement factory, and this is one of the pictures that I shot. This was after a crop, because there was a telephone pole thing blocking the right half of the shot.

    @F22, 22 second exposure, ISO 100.

    Nice shot, but I think the better shot would have been to zoom in, eliminate the dark foreground using the reflection more to your advantage. The best part about this photo is the smoke (?) stack on the right.

    Nice picture. I like factory pictures. I think you also made a good choice shooting at night. I would have liked to see more of the smoke stack. Maybe a crop at the center of the creek since the foreground doesn't seem to add to the picture. NIce work and worth getting out in the cold...

    Thanks, I got a couple shots that were closer in with different angles. I'm still torn between this and the overall picture-picture.

    I agree on the sodium lights. They are much better than the white heat of the Metal Halids...
