    Jagged Canyon

It's a shot I took in Utah view area, and yes, this is an HDR image. 3 separate exposures, just with the stock 18-55 mm lens.

i like it. I usually dont like landscape shots without any humanistic feel to them, but i do like this one. the glow coming from the top edge of the rocks really gives this image a warm feel, as well as the warm/cool split in color to the sky while still retaining a nice, bright hue. Well done.

Being a film guy, I don't pay much attention to the HDR process in digital, but the result here is nice...looks like it could be a Provia 100 slide. Though it's a little small here to fully appreciate, the detail and crispness is there. Nice one.

Very nice, I have HDR but haven't used it yet.

Nice shot, good tones to the thing. Since In don't speak Canon, what is HDR?

It's not a Canon thing. It's where you take 3 different exposures of the same picture. One underexposed, one "normal", and the other overexposed. Then you combine it through programs like Adobe Bridge and Photomatix, creating a evenly balanced shot, where all shadows, highlights, and midtones are showing.

Cool stuff. I'm still on Photoshop 6.0. I'll bump to CS2 after I pay for my wife's lasik surgery.

You can get a free trial of Photomatix, though it leaves a watermark.
