There is no such thing as a "good" histogram, they just are. I'm sure this has been posted before, but it's a good article:

And here's another about exposing using the histogram:

    Re: Bronze: Histogram attached

    Rick,

That's what I was referring to in the post about underexposure. The L-L articles are fine.

There is some debate about the expose to the right and how far to go! Then of course you can overexpose as well.

The newer cameras have the color capability in the Histogram which can be used to do other things, such as biasing for eventual conversion to b/w.

By having a bell curve (or practically) you've gotten an optimal exposure most likely. The bronze is a good choice as it has fairly equally parts of the three colors and thus all the curves are similar.

You may find when photographing a subject that is predominantly one primary color, that the h-g is very differently shaped, but it still shouldn't run off or 'bunch up' on one end or the other of the display.

The histogram is currently the most powerful tool we have in the digital camera.

Keep 'em coming. I know you will!

    The histogram is fine afaik.
As long as you are looking at graphs, try this curves adjustment to give a little more definition in your bronzes.
