    Badlands Panorama

    OK folks,
    Here is my latest sewing project. Comments and critiques welcome, suggestions cheerfully explored, but please leave the editing to me.

    My first thought when I saw this was...Imagine being the first human to stumble onto this scene. You've captured the starkness of the surroundings along with it's natural beauty quite well.

    My only nit pick it that to me it seems a bit overly bright losing some of the deeper reds that I usually asociate with the bad lands. But other than that I like it =) .

    A very good stitching job C.L. I'd like to see this printed large.
    While the features are very dramatic in themselves, the high angle of light allows more distant features to blend and nearby ones to appear 'flatter' than they could. I'd like to see the scene with early morning or late afternoon sun. Sometimes the angles just don't work then though for a given place. I know that when you're travelling you have to take things as you find them sometimes since one doesn't know how a place looks in different hours and one may not be able to re-visit a place.

    To my eye there is just a tinch too much land mass and not enough sky... in other words I'd like to see the horizon line lowered just a bit. Other than that it's a very, very nice photo.
