    She's back!

    A Good day today, for the third season on the trot my special female blackbird has made an appearance in the garden, she has a very distinctive call and of course her white marking on her head, and when i looked she was on her favourite perch waiting for her fat treat.

    This proves spring is around the corner:thumbsup:

    but but but but.....it's still January.... and I haven't even had one nice snowfall yet....

    Nice pictures btw. Was the fiurst one taken through a window? There wseems to be a slight distortion around the beak that makes it look like you shot through a double paned window.

    Yesterday I was at a yard full of dafadils(sp?) popping up........ what winter ??????

    That sure is a cooperative bird and that white spot is cool.

    No not taken through a window but the sun was straight in my face and on the bird, no excuses i know, but thanks for feedback jaedon!

    The Daffs are doing the same here, i have wall flowers blooming as well in the garden, no wonder the animals dont know what season it is!

    Good ones Bev. That first shot reminds me of one I got of a White-throated Robin a couple of years ago in south Texas. I really like the body position. It might be even better with a little levels adjustment to increase the contrast a bit.
