December Photo Project: The Season
It's that time again! Time for the new Photo Project...
THE SEASON
I am not very big fan of projects that reflect a specific season, but right now I just really feeling the joy of the season upon me. So lets get out there and show what the seaon means to us. Wether you celebrate Christmas or Chanukah, Eid al-Adha or Bodhi Day, or even nothing at all, this thread is for you to show us why!

Re: December Photo Project: The Season
What the season means to me...hmmm...apart from chaos in my house, lack of money and school Christmas plays lol...
#1 Christmas Cards (one of my very first, extremely poor, attempts at a Christmas portrait lol) *cringes*
#2 Meeting Santa (a composite of 3 different images. The youth centre didn't even bother with a bg So I added a sunset and a Christmas Tree.)
#3 Cute Santa Hat pictures

Re: December Photo Project: The Season
We don't really celebrate Christmas as most have grown to know it, due to commercialization. However, working in a photo lab, Christmas has come to mean answering 5 billion what is a megapixel questions, etc. It also means it's time for Santa photos, which is a blast. Especially when the little ones see Santa for the first time . It won't win an award, but here's an example of what we're doing for our Santa promotion.
Note the cheesy line in the background, and the wax covered cardboard reflects every bit of light...lol
As much as it may seem I hate it, I really do love Christmas, in the traditional "family" sense.

yeahhhh, gotta love that. I work in Best Buy digital imaging, so we get even less experiences people coming in. my favorite was "what's a megapaxel?" or when people constantly ask for "scandisk" cards.

Re: December Photo Project: The Season
This is one of my favorite winter/holiday photos. It reminds me of a scene from a Norman Rockwell painting.

Great pic Mike!
Add some glowing yellow lights to the windows and you'd have a real life Thomas Kinkade...

Thanks John. It's funny you should mention the glowing yellow lights. I was working on that right before I posted the original.

Winter Camping
Winter camping around Thanksgiving in the Gore Range of Colorado. Extremely old shot made on KR64 using an Olympus XA.
Sorry about the bad scan, it was one of my first tries years and years ago. The original slide is long gone.

Re: December Photo Project: The Season
I'm enjoying a few days off and decided to play in Photoshop a bit.
Here is the original.
Merry Christmas and all the rest to you all!
