Promise last ones!

Sorry but have'nt been anywhere else for the last few days, keep getting drawn back to the lakes, but he is quite addictive! i always want another shot, perhaps him preening, a better dive picture etc etc, but I will have to start looking for other subjects, they have probably walked or flown past me and i have'nt noticed im so focused on this bird!

So hpefully next posting will be of something different.

I'll have to do a deal with Bev then, if she's not going to photgraph this bird any more I want a go !
After all it's only about 3 hours drive to her part of the country I think.

Well then it's going to be a very busy lake. Last I remember, Copy Kot, Paulnj, and I were headed to Bev's place Join us, SW - I'm sure Bev won't mind!

Great shots, Bev. That last one is terrific no matter what kind of bird it was. The fact that it is such a magnificent looking kingfisher makes it that much more special.

Btw, I wonder if the other fishermen in the club are scratching their heads wondering what this woman is doing all the time and not fishing!

Re: Promise last ones!

Aaah, There are some great folk on this forum!

I couldnt possibly stop photographing this little bird, todate out of all my birds i have photographed (probably apart from Chippy!)he has totally captivated me! im hooked. In fact im off down there again today (day off work) would love some preening shots, missed them the other day due to where i was hidden he had a branch across him obscuring my view.

Loupey, Its so quiet when i go down there its unbelievable at times, the top lake where the Kingfisher mainly is, i have had to myself on most occasions, apart from the odd fisherman on swims on the otherside of the lake, and i make sure i stay away from them as afterall it is for fishing, and i know how these fishermen are, I am married to one! i get, Sssh! dont bang around (as im clunking around with my monopod!) its the vibrations im told, the fish will feel it and scarper, i couldnt of done too much damage last weekend, he caught a 32lb carp.!

Oh, and could you imagine, a big meet up of us all! Wow that would be exciting though, but i can see the lake managers face now, watching us all turn up with our tripods, bags, cameras! descending down to the lake.Lol
