    Best Friends

Two of my best friends walking to the car after being kicked out of a skate spot.

    Re: Best Friends

A good idea and an ok image. It is fairly dark and a bit blurry on my monitor.

You may or may not know that I almost always suggest that images posted here could stand some cropping.

IMHO This image would look a lot better if you cropped everything off the left of the path beyond the edge of the path/trail. That would move your friends out of dead center of the image and remove the foliage that really doesn't add anything to the shot. This crop would also yield a nice right to left, down to up visual direction for the viewer.

It probably does need some crop of that left side. I'm not sure how much but wonder what it would look like if you did a horizontal flip of the immage.

Like MB1 says, the image is a bit dark and blurry. I wonder if you can play with the colors a little bit and make the sunset (or rise) sky a bit more colorful though to add to the picture.

I took it at a shutter speed of 400, but I was moving on my skateboard so it probably blurred it sigh =[ But here's a cropped version and a horizontal fliped one after the crop.

Have to admit I like it flipped better.
Something more natural about stuff moving left to right.

    Re: Best Friends

I don't know... The cropping, and other work, seems to have the effect of "cheering up" the scene. If the two figures were in sharp focus, the blandness, and mundaneness, of the vegetation would tend to enhance the morose mood of being "kicked out"... at least that was the feeling I was getting from it.
