    Take out the trash!

The trash can in this one is really bothering me, but I don't know how to take it out.
Can someone help me out? I just downloaded the gimp.

    Thanks!

    Re: Take out the trash!

    hi,
I use Gimp as my main replacement for PS, but cloning out large objects has proven to be rather difficult IMO. There is a cloning tool, it looks kind of like the top half of a little person (called: Paint using Patterns or Image Regions) and all you do is hit Control-click on the part of the photo that you want to clone over the object with, in this case it would be the road or the grass, to set your color, and then drag the tool over the object. You have to play around with it a lot to get it to look any good though. I'm not sure really how to take out big objects any other way. The only other thing I could suggest is blur the background a lot and just have the child in focus. hope this helps!

I used Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8, the cloning tool and the smudge tool. Took about 45 minutes. Takes a lot of practice and patience.
