It appears you have caught a moment.
If the sky wasn't so blown, would we see a small opening in the clouds letting that one spot of light through?

Looks like a water fall to me.

I think the lighting is to harsh for this photo and needed to be taken from the tree end to make it work.

    Re: Hocking Hills

i've been there. it is a great place, however there are much better angles than this one. it is an ok angle, but needs to be done w/o blowing out the sky ( i used my graduated ND filter there alot due to openings and trees etc that let the sky in.

    Re: Hocking Hills

I've been to this spot to I believe, trees have filled out a bit more, maybe its the angle. As I recall time of day is critical to this spot being the most photogenic. And clouds, lots of clouds but not overcast make for this site being probably the best. This kind of dynamic range from the lighting makes some of the color wash out and its result is harshness.

Great setting, hope you can easily return and play with getting a great image.

    Re: Hocking Hills

As Frog noted, a little blown out. I guess if you had caught it at a different time of the day it could have made a difference though.

Looks like a great place for a model to stand under it and pose for the camera
