Re: Muscles Malone

Nice portrait. There are lots of people with tattoo's and they make great subjects.

Cheers,

Re: Muscles Malone

Right above his shoulder? Should I try burning that in a bit?

Re: Muscles Malone

no, the left side of his face. the hot part in the background is a bit distracting, but not as bad as when you're losing detail on a part of a person's body in a portrait, especially something as essential as the face. Burning won't help, once an area is blown out, the details are gone for good.

Re: Muscles Malone

This is a good portrait. It shows a lot of character of what seems to be a character. I would agree with Brent about burning it some on the left side.
You should photograph him some more, I am sure there are a lot of photographs waiting to happen with him.

Re: Muscles Malone

I'm having a hard time using the burn tool, I've only ever used it a couple times. But when I use it what ends up happening is just around the white gets darker, and the white doesn't get much darker. Are there settings you can adjust or something I'm missing besides just clicking the burn tool and using it that would make it easier?

If you want to mess with it yourself please feel free.

Thanks again.
