This is very good,Liban. i like the framing and the tones are warm, almost sepia. It works well. I'm not seeing the point of the one policia being in color, although it does not look bad. Perhaps, if you would like it to remain selectively colored like this I would subdue the color somewhat so it looks like it's blending more naturally.
Good work.
I am not so sure it works like this, the selctive color.
I think it is too selective and the sepia is rather confusing to me too.
I would suggest no sepia and coloring the police or the crowd.
That way the message and photograph isn't that confusing.

I was wondering where this thread went wow a sticky! thanks.
Here it is without the selective colour.
I guess that one policeman stands out on his own and that caught my attention and made me want to make him stand out even further and hence the selective colour.

I'd like to see it with all the police colored to show the separation of 'the state' from the common man.
With the present composition it may be too confusing/distracting as there are so many police on the right side.
Good catch.
that is a possibility, but as you said, it may be confusing. there are a ton of police around, so it could kind of detract from the whole point of selective coloring. love the shot as it is.
Nice shot, Leels, and congrats on the sticky! I slap my forehead 99% of the time when I see a selectively desaturated shot... I just don't like them AT ALL. But I think the comparison between your posted shot and a monochrome shows that you made the right choice and that you've got that rare shot that is made stronger from this sort of trickery. Good call!

What I really like about this piece is that you chosed the colour the only person that was looking at you with while you were taking the picture. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing about it.

Well seen Liban! I also like your use of selective color. ( I hear that's "in" these days. ) Highest of accolades and regards for collaring yet another sticky!
