Thread: Ant ID???

    Ant ID???

    First let me apologize for the quality of these pictures, I wouldn't have posted them if I wasn't so curious to know what kind of ants these are... I've never seen yellow ants like these before. The big ones were moving around pretty quick and it was impossible to get a clear picture of one.

    The larger looking ants were regular ant size to a little larger than normal (all the big ones had wings). The smaller ants in the other picture could fit on top of a pin head.

    these are termites

    Eastern subterranean termite most likely.

    :blush2: Well they certainly do not look like the termites I've seen in California (where I lived most of my life) lol, how embarrassing... thanks Paul.
