This is a pretty funny picture. Needs a little bit of adjustment to bring out both of the dogs eyes. Are you scanning from a photo or from the film? As was mentioned, anything technical here appears to me to be a result of the digitilization of the image. Perhaps a tiny amount to much extra space on the right hand side.

Other than that this is to me a rather entertaining photograph of the old maxim that you get to look more like your dog (or vice-versa) as time goes by!
