Here's some recent stuff of the long, usually hairy stuff. The first two are of the same 'pillar - the same species as Dylan's, just with a buzz cut.

All with the 300mm.

Fill flash used on #1, #3, and #4
2 extension tubes used on #1, #2, and #4
3 extension tubes used on #3 (it was only about 1/2" long total)

nice pics loupey. i like #3 i think its a monarch but haven't delt with caterpillars in a long while so i might be wrong. any hows i like how the 'pillar isin focus and lit perfect with the leaf being back lit.

Great images loupey. I finally get a free weekend(almost) and go figure...rain rain and more rain! Will my camera ever get used again? :mad2:
