    Training Camp

It's been a long time since I've posted over here. I thought I might break my streak with these training shots taken Saturday of the Browns workout.

    Re: Training Camp

Nice job Loupey. The Bengals train just about 40 miles from me in Georgetown, KY. I wish I had time to make it to one day of camp. You just don't realize how big these guys are till you see them beside normal people like in #2.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Training Camp

How do you know the guy in #2 is normal?
It's all relative, for all I know he's a six footer and the rest are real giants !
    Nice shot

    Re: Training Camp

Glad you are posting here. Like the shots and everyone in my house wants to know who #92 is. That guy is a monster!

I'd give my right foot to shoot at a camp like that.

Oh, do those teams in Ohio still play football?

    (Sorry, couldn't resist... )

Those are nice shots. I'm hoping to be able to tag along with a buddy when he goes down to Latrobe next week to cover a day at the Steelers camp.

Looking at my fantasy football draft notes, it looks like that #92 is probably Ted Washington. Browns picked him up as a free agent from the Raiders.

    Re: Training Camp

LOL - yeah, #92 is Ted Washington. The way that image lined up, I couldn't resist taking the shot. The players were too big while the assistant was too small I guess if I was out there, I'd be just right (right ). Ted's stats BTW: 6'5", 365 pounds

A few more pixs. Sorry that they don't have as much action as many of yours. My tendency to look for stories away from the ball is a hard habit to break.

    Re: Training Camp

I enjoyed your shots and have a question for you or anyone else who can answer it. Is anything needed to go to these training camps and take pictures? Is prior permission needed or are these open to the general public.

God job, Loupey. The light looks like it was a little difficult to work with, but you managed.

I'm hoping to get up to Lambeau either this week or next to get some pictures of Packer's training camp.

Jim, at least for the Browns (and Bengals), all you need is time.

I took my 12 year old son with me (the other way around, I think ). It took $35 for gas, $9 for two corn dogs and two sodas. But parking fee and entry fee - zero dollars

There was no fuss about my gear and the only restriction is that no photos be used for commercial purposes. What a great way to get poster sized prints for my son's room!

The best part for my son? getting to meet Braylon Edwards, Dennis Northcutt, and Travis Wilson (and getting their autographs)

The best part for me? getting some one-on-one time with my son

    Re: Training Camp

i'd have to agree with steelersdirtfreak, and say nice sots but are you sure that not college or HS football players?

i'd have some great shots from the "non-riot" in the south side after the superbowl, but i was drunk and didn't want to dmg my camera. Maybe once i ge thome this weekend, i'll post some from the victory parade.

6'5" isn't a giant in my book though, I'm almost 6'7" but that 395 is kind of scary ( i only weight 180!).

    Re: Training Camp

As an MSU grad...and someone who has been able to work with the MSU football program, I just gotta say. Edwards s@#ks!!!! What can I say, still some harsh feelings from that spanking he gave us a couple years back...we had that game in the bag until Coach Carr remembered he had Edwards.

I think it's great you got to spend some time with your kid, and enjoy football...nothing like it on the planet.
