"Spare Seeds?"

Round-Tailed Ground Squirrel Spermophilus teriticaudus

'Cleetus' is a resident. Moocher extraordinaire!!!

One of my first posts to this board was squirrels. I haven't run out of new subjects, just Cleetus was posing for us yesterday. I had the camera just sitting there, (albeit with the zoom lens) and she was standing at my feet.

Re: "Spare Seeds?"

Beside the slight angle and centered subject, this is a great image. Do you by any chance have an image with more room in front of cleetus? Ther angle doesn't really bother me, but I think it would benefit from a horizontal rather than the close vertical ID shot.

Your DOF and the pose are great.

Re: "Spare Seeds?"

yeah, i agree with paul. great pose though. last night when i was out in the field, my cat heard something and struck this pose. I only wish I had a camera with me, it was probably the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen my cat do. and it's pretty crazy.

Re: "Spare Seeds?"

Thanks, this is the feedback I need.

I was wondering when I cropped it if I wasn't respecting that 'thirds' thing.

I'll re-work it and repost later, along with some excellent spiny lizard shots from this morning. If I don't leave to get/buy food, I'm going to have an unhappy, rebellious household.

Thanks, again
