    Georgia gator??

I didn't know we had gators in Ga, but we must, at least one, and here it is.

BTW... this wasn't at a zoo or anything. It was at a pond we were exploring.

Also, a gopher tortoise. I'm on a roll...two protected (endangered?) species in one day! Moorhen watching me from the weeds near the lake, then ran across my path.

Not the best photos, but what the hell...

First shot is the cream of the crop. Nice job. I heard on the news last that a gator was captured crossing the road in the southern part of KY. No one know how it got here. The week before here in my little town in north eastern KY they found an armadillo. As the local paper stated it he was found, "unresponsive in the roadway".
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Sure gators live in georgia

These images are quite nice, so don't tell us they aren't.

Larry, I can say with almost certainty that your gator and armadillo were released by a person who got tired of owning them. You can buy american alligators as pets and I would imagine armadillos can be bought too. People breed skunks, raccoons, foxes and just about any other mammal for the pet trade, so why not an armadillo?
