    Fort Yargo

Fort Yargo is a state park just up the road from me and I took my camera with me on a walk yesterday. I was looking for a particular shot that I didn't find but this is one of the 3 that I did take.

How strange! Looks like fog, but maybe you just slowed down the shutter to get this effect (?) I like the shot and I see you did try to get the bird in as the center subject, but unfortunately, he's just too small and unnoticable to make it work. Also, I would have preferred that he wasn't centered: place him at about the 1/3 pt in a crop and see if that changes anything.

Glycerin, this took a long time to download... A tad bit of JPEG compression, even 5-7 percent, can make a big difference btw and will usually be almost completely unnoticable. Just a sugggestion for your next posting.

    Re: Fort Yargo

The fog was actually on the pond since it was pretty early in the morning. When I took the picture I didn't have the correct lens on so I couldn't bring the bird in closer. It is a rather boring shot overall and I've liked it less over time. I'll try the crop and see if I like it more. Thanks for that suggestion.

Sorry about the size. I'm on such a fast connection that I don't think about. Thank you for the reminder! ETA I made it a bit smaller. Hopefully that is better?
