How do I compile images to create a photo of the stars?

I've seen a ton of those photo's, taken with a normal camera with the IR filter built in, but what they do is compile about 15 or so, 20 second exposures to get the results. I've just taken 14, 20 second shots, and I cant find any tutorials to compile them to get the image i'm after. If anyone knows how to do this, that'd be fantastic if you could tell me how. Thanks!

If you are using Photoshop CS2 you should be able to create a HDR image from a group. Actually in Adobe Bridge select the files that you want to merge and then:

    Tools
    Photoshop
    Merge to HDR

    Hope this helps.

    Google for "stacking images".

There is software specifically for this, or your can do it with any graphics program that allows layers.

I have no idea what software to use to do this, or how to do it. I have PS CS2, idk how to set up a HDR. Ill google for stacking images tomorrow, as I'm off to bed right now.

I processed the photo's i took a little better, and I saw clouds infront of the stars. I need to shoot again on a cloudless night.

Are you trying to caputure star trails? I have done it digitally once, just to try it out. I posted a thread a while back with the method I used to create the image. Here is a link to it. Hope it helps.
