    Nikon D200 and banding?

Anyone having problems with this? The Banding effect or Conduroy effect? I called up Nikon and they admit to this.... =/

    Re: Nikon D200 and banding?

I just recently discovered banding (horizontal) with my D70. Shows up mostly in 600% view in Photoshop. Hardly noticeable when image is printed... but I know it's there. I'll keep a close eye on it to see if it was only an isolated incident. Keeping my fingers crossed. If Nikon admit there is a problem, ask them how they plan to fix it. Good luck.

If you google it, you'll find a lot that's been written about it. From what I hear, Nikon can fix it pretty well. I think this calibration or whatever they do has already been performed for cameras that are shipping today.

I've looked closely at my pictures done with the D200, especially ones done with lightbulbs in the image. I haven't seen anything.

I deliberately held off buying my D200 till March, to avoid any early-adopter problems. I only just ordered my 18-200 for the same reason.
