I actually get paid to go around looking at classic autos. No good quality pictures of this one but it is the finest restoration I have ever seen. The present owner is purchased it from the estate of the original owner. He then took it down piece by piece, replaced the front and rear of the frame with late model Camero, slipped in a special high performance GM 350 CID ZZ4 engine after Edlebrock and other leaders invested an additional $4K into the power plant. Final HP aprox. 460. Nearly every add-on was from GM (i.e. seats, headliner, motor, transmission, A/C). When completed it went through the ¼ in 10.14 sec and it weights a tad over 2 ton. Tough job but someone has to do it …. LOL

Ooh I just love this model of Caddy! That is one SEXY car! I have an image of the hood ornament of a '39 Cad on the front two pages of my website, she's my Caddy Angel! What do you do that gets you invited into people's homes to photograph their antique cars ~ an appraiser perhaps?

The power plant and front are pretty good shots. The other two would be improved by being in closer and/or not cutting off part of the car. The head on shot has a a difference in glare in the windscreen. That's one of those ''car photo" things to watch out for and avoid.

You're getting some flare and hotspots, but for shooting on an obviously bright day and on 'brick' to top it off, these come off fairly well. What camera did you use? A polarizer might really help this kind of photography.

I too get paid to go look at cars, though perhaps for a different reason. I mentioned elsewhere I'd love to have seen this as a factory restoration as opposed to being 'rodded.

I mean, a '38 suicide Caddy? A body like that and the condition of the restoration, Wow.

Great shots Keltic...is this the same car as you had in another thread? If it is, these shots are a huge improvement compared to the rest. Great head on shot in the first one, the curves and body of the car is great!
