Rattling sound in a 350D

I purchesed a 350D (rebel xt) a couple of weeks ago and after a few days noticed a rattling sound from the flash section of the camera.

I think it is the brackets that stop the flash from opening too far!!! the shop attn. told me it was normal as the other one they had in stock did the same.

is this normal???

Yes! It is normal. When I first got mine, I had the same question. To be honest, I can't recall what exactly why it makes this sound, but rest assured - there is nothing wrong with your camera. I don't even hear it anymore - and it seldom happens at any rate.

its the brackets in the flash when its closed.. the brackets rattle when they arent fully extended..

I had a rattling sound from the flash section when I had a 300D, I was told that this was normal.
After a year I bought a 20D, It also rattles from the flash section.
It's normal, I don't even notice it anymore.
