Back to Organics - Self portrait

This is a self portrait I took. its not really of me because its a piece of paper but its a picture of me.
so really its a picture of a picture. but whatever.
I think the shades and white balance work well in this photo

    Hi PT1239,

This is a really neat concept. I like the idea and think you've done a good job of executing it. The one nit I have is that 3/4 of your face on the paper seems to be in shadow. What might be a neat thing to try if you do a re-shoot is making certain that the paper will be backlighted by the off camera flash. I think it might be a cool effect and would bring some more interest to your "leaf". Also, even though I get the idea that you really want this to appear as a cut out trimming off as much of the white border trim around your face would help this blend more with the scenery and give it a more hidden picture in the picture kind of feeling. Just some suggestions. Good idea overall.

I agree with CL about the shadow. Great concept though...very original and unique. I don't mind the white around it, kind of adds an artistic/creative aspect to it.

    Great shot and wonderful concept!

Wow, that's pretty neat! I wish it blended in just a little more, but it's still very good. And good idea too

    Full marks for trying this.
It doesn't work for me though. The white border has to go and the image should then be lost more and blended in more with the foliage. It needs to be subtle and we can have fun finding out what's interesting in a photograph of twigs and leaves. Not easy to do I feel.
None theless very well thought of.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
