    Help Please.......Bag.

I have to ride my bike everywhere here in Baghdad (Green Zone) and I am looking for a good backpack style camera back to fit my Canon 20D and 2 (3 at the most) lenses. ANyone have a good one that they would recommend? Maybe a link to the site you bought it from? Thanks!!

I love this bag from B&H that I picked up for hiking.

I use a Crumpler "Brian's Hot Tub" it doesn't look like a camera bag, just a normal tourist.
Don't know if you want to avoid camera bag labels or not, guess it won't matter much.

Thanks for the help. Bag labels won't affect me much over here. I just need something with decent protection for the camera and lens.

    Thanks again!

I don't have information that would help you on lenses.

However, I do want to express my gratitude to you for your service to our country in Iraq. I will also promise you my prayers. Please let us know how you are doing over there - and if there is anything you need, we're here for you.

Thanks Liz. I am just a contractor for the military. I got out of the military 5 years ago and I was too out of shape to rejoin (LOL) so I came over as a civilian. Been here almost 3 years now. As soon as my 20D arrives in a couple days, I will post some pics of the Green Zone.

    Thanks again

Thanks for sharing what you're doing. You're still serving the US and the soldiers and the people we are trying to help over there. You're still a hero. Please keep safe - and post the pictures in Viewfinder - let everyone know what you're doing. That forum is where we spend time getting to know each other more.

BTW, you should take the word "just" out of the sentence (a contractor) for the military. A contractor for the military is something to be proud of. :-)

    I'll pray for you.

The crumpler's been great for a 20D and stuff.
24-70 L on the body, in the centre space.
    100-400 L down one side.
70-200 L down the other side.
EF-S 10-22 in one of the little pockets.
That still leaves room for my laptop and the 580EX flash.
With a bag of stuff at the top (cables, spare batteries, filters, lens cleaner).

Thanks for the kind word Liz, and everyones suggestions. BUT, my wife wanted to help and she bought me a bag as a surprise. It looks pretty decent, I will let you know once it arrives. Not sure if it has enough room for everything. We'll see

    Re: Help Please.......Bag.

That's a nice bag. I used to have an Orion(just the bottom half of that bag) and it would hold my film camera and 2-3 smaller lenses with room to spare. If you have some longer lenses it might be a little small in the Camera bag side, but there will always be room for a longer lens in the top. It's a great bag because it will let you carry your camera equipment and personal items in the top.
