Question ATP 150 X Pro Max SD Card Compatability

I bought an ATP 150X ProMax 1GB SD card and in my old Panasonic Optio 33WR it takes about 20 seconds for the camera to power up when I use this card. If I switch to the old 16MB card that came with the camera it will turn on instantly. Does anyone know if there is a compatability problem with older cameras? I am looking at buying an Olympus Camedia C-740 and would like to use this card with it. Do you know if it will work? Thanks!

Think that's a Pentax, and a pretty nice camera from what I hear. Have you tried re-formatting the card? Re-Formatting will erase the card but also "reset" the directory (don't know all the proper terminology for this). I don't know how it is done in your camera but it will be in the instruction manual. It's best to always do this after you've downloaded (and saved!) your images.
