    Orange

I haven't posted in here for a long while but recently had a spate of images that were really out of my ordinary and I want opinions on them. Let me know what you think. All are taken with a 20D and either a Sigma 15mm fish or a Canon 50mm f1.8

    Re: Orange

Of the three, i like the third one best as it has a pleasing artistic/abstract feel. The first two, I like the subjects but not the point of view. Somehow I do not like seeing the green trees/brush in the bg and from a normal looking down perspective. I think I might like them more if you had knelt down and had the sky in the bg.

I agree with Gary about that third shot - it's a knock out for several reasons. The complementary colors, the interesting effect of the overlapping bits of out of focus sky in the back ground, the great feeling of depth, and the nice patterns of leaves and branches, both in and out of focus all make this a real wall hanger.

    Re: Orange

    William,

Love the third shot, can't find fault in it.

The second shot I am not too keen on the angle of the shot as my eye is trying to go down the hydraulic ram but the angle of the shot is tying me up in the bolt. The machine is also blurred which does not help with the viewing.

The first suffers from the same problem in that the angle of the tyre is pulling me down into the bottom of the frame rather than the natural tendancy to follow the lines of the tractor to the hedge.
