Any suggestions? Be very pleased with this shot.
Good idea, composition, focus, exposure and color. I think that pretty much covers it.

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
I kinda would like to have seen what it looked like with all three shadows complete, but I don't know that it wouldn't have caused you to lose the veining and texture. I really like this though.

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
Interesting find Chunk!
Is this part of a new project you are working on? "Triangles"
I like the colors in this one, the yellow contrasts well against the black.
So does the smooth texture of the leaves agains the roughness of the asphalt.
I think this one is better than the other one you posted, it's much more simple and clean with regards to the background.

Thanks for commenting, D. Here's a crop from another frame. The angle to the sun is a little different so you get a little different color on the asphalt and leaves. The original shot was taken from a little closer as well.
I thought about that shadow while getting it ready to post. I generally don't mind having some part of a subject going outside the frame. I think it can loosen up a composition and make it a little less formal. I know there are folks who feel strongly both ways, but I'm just goofin' around here. Do you think having all the shadow is a large improvement (if other factors were the same)?

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
It just might become a project Brian. I was thinking of triangular compositions yesterday morning while looking at Tuna's museum shot and then while driving around later in the day, I seemed to find things in threes. I've known for some time that triangular groupings of three items can be a very strong compositional factor but I guess it was pushed to the front of the brain yesterday.
Thanks for the comments.

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
I do enjoy the symmertry of the second (I normally don't like things too symmetrical either). But the mellower colors of the first, and the placement, is more appealing to me. So, given both, I like the first best. It must look great larger!

Congratulations on the sticky Chunk!
I prefer the first image. It just works on me more subtly.
Cheers!

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
Chunk, glad to see this as the sticky. I prefer the first image as the exposure is best and I really like how each leaf is placed in a corner of the frame. great shot, very striking .

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
Am glad to see the full shadows of the second post but prefer the post-production, especially the deeper, darker saturation of the first.
Either and both - very impressive, graphic shots.

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
CL, Gary, Tuna - Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. I always like hearing what you think about shots. The 3 corners composition was what I was thinking about when I lined up this shot Gary - I thought the empty corner balanced it all.

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
I'm not sure why I like this one so much but I do.
It pops out at me; the colors and the contrast. Nicely done!

Re: Triangle - Yellow and Black
Chunk I haven't been over here for while and just saw this image. I have liked so many of your photographs, but this might be my favorite. Well done! Wish you had this one when you were in KY, I would have it on my wall now.
