    Re: sail

    Hi,
The photo delivers an abstract feeling. The saturated blue turns the shots moody. I would like to see more detail on the right of the structure. Nice attempt.

    Re: sail

I agree with Yoyo about the right side but a lovely abstract

I like this shot. A levels or curves adjustment will bring up the detail in the dark areas beutifully. I'd like to see the tip of the sail in the frame though. Those deep colors are simply stunning.

I also feel this is a pleasing abstract. Rich vilolets and blues. I like your placement and perspective of the building, although i agree with Chunk about wanting to see the tip of the corner up in the frame, but I do not think it is too important. I'm fine with the lack of detail in the right side of the building. . .adds a certain mystique and bolsters the abstract feel of this. Good work

    Re: sail

    thanks for the comments guys,

Chunk, Gary, i was apprehensive about the missing tip at the top myself, and that was one of the reasons i put this shot up here, to see if there was a reaction to it. I intend to go back and reshoot, but it's seldom you get the same light situation etc., although it's worth a try i think.

Yoyo and readingr, the right hand side of the building actually detracts from the overall feel of the shot, as it weighs quite heavily on the copper sails, and that was why i purposely left it out while shooting this pic, although i do have it in other shots. The fact that i know the building means not seeing the right hand side has no effect on me, but i understand from a strangers viewpoint it might look like somethings missing alright.

    thanks again for the response,

    anew.

if you're interested, this is another detail/abstract of same.................
