    The Beach

    Lake Huron at the PInery Provincial Park, taken August 2004. Feedback appreciated.

    Thanks for commenting on one of my photos. As I look at these it almost seems like an example in a photo book showing one how much more powerful a sunset photo can be with an interesting foreground object. The second shot is definately the better of the two. If you could have squeezed out some more reds and yellows and zowie colors it would be top-notch.

    Kind of Ironic that you'd say that. I was down at the beach taking pictures, and it didn't look as though there were going to be any pinkish, orangish sunsets, so I decided to leave. The view as I drove away, through the back windshield:



    I was pissed.

    Of the originals the second is best and I really like the composition and the colours in the photo.

    But from the last shot through the back windshield is terrific - I really like it is so different. Blur the parcel shelf and the speaker and make it darker and it really makes a good sunset for me. I really like the fact that you can see its a car park with the lines on the road.
