One day I was driving down the street and spotted this fellow walking down the street singing and playing, so I just had to hop out and get a shot.

What can I say? Its a snapshot. Guitar cut off both ends, busy uninteresting background.
If you'd been able to take some time for a good background and decent light he could be a good subject.
Sorry but that's how I see it.

Agreed....you might try B&W and blurred background...might look more artistic. HTH

I actually like the shot. That said, I do think it needs some kind of effect applied to it.
