I think the knife needs just a little kick of light at the far end or the area in the orange.. any reason for salt on the cutting board?

Thanks for your thoughs caleb. I do really consider all of them them. I left the end of the knife dark for dramatic effect, but would be happy to try it your way, and also the salt I feel lends realism to the scene...it in effect says I'm going to eat that lemon...thats my thoughs for all they are worth.

Ah, I read the title/SW's post.. it looks like an orange on my computer.
I asked why because i didn't feel that it belonged but it did a great job filling a void without introducing a new subject into the photo.
