NIght Sky Shot

Hello folks. I've been too busy to post lately but I'm back home for a bit now. It's great to be able to turn to you guys for honesty, so here is another round. i shot these last night from my driveway. I vary rarely do any night shots but this sky caught my eye. So what could I have done different to improove these shots? Filters, ect? As always your critiques good or bad are greatly appreciated..i actually like the bad better..thats the only way I'm going to learn anything right. So let me have it, what do ya think.

Thanks again..

Re: NIght Sky Shot

Love that sky, especially in the first.
How much did the clouds move during your exposure? Judging by the trees, there wasn't much wind.
Only problem I have with it and I'm afraid its a big one is the composition.
There's only two things in the photo: trees and sky and no matter how great they are, there needs to be another element to keep my attention and get my eye to travel though the image.

Canyon Hiker,

This just goes to show how different a shot can be to different peopIe. I really like the first image. The simplicity of the shot, being so wide open, yet complexity of movement really caught my eye. The colors are terrific. I understand what Frog is saying, I did not read his comments until after viewing the shots but looked at image #1 for the longest time because of the movement of the clouds.

Nice job.
