    Cool Race the oncoming night

There it was, then it was gone... 45 seconds this lasted. All distracting telephone poles, powerlines removed with clone tool mask.
These are natural unedited colors. It's all about the colors on this one...That's all. Let 'er rip.
    With regards,
    Rick

Good post processing. Simple, but effective. Good job capturing the beauty of the sunset from such a difficult setting.

Yes, that period where the sun finds an open spot to illuminate the bottoms of the clouds is usually very brief if there are enough clouds to make an interesting sky. It's fun to watch the light spread across the sky, isn't it.

You nailed the exposure and did a wonderful job in cloning out the noisey parts of the foreground.

Effective Post work Rick. You have to be ready for these opportunities.

I wonder if this might take a little more contrast or a curve adjustment to make that sky pop a bit more.

You could have cloned the remaining light pole in the middle and darkened some of the lights to really provide more light/dark contrast.

Nice shape to the sky you got to see and photograph.
