    On The Beach - Holga...

I hope I am not overdueing it with the photographs from Maui, but think I got a lot of good ones.
This one is from a few hours on a black rock beach near the town of Hana.
    What do you think?

I would have to say this is a great Holga image. Your subjects are perfect for this format. The bathing lady looks like she has been collaged onto the film (I know you didn't but that's what it looks like). And I love the complementing colors of her suit and the ocean. The black sand has really contributed to the bottomless feeling here. A winner IMO Brian!

    This is spot on Brian,

there is something very bizzare with this image, the sharpness of the lady has something to do with it, makes it look very surreal! The colours are great, the blues are so strong.

This is a really great image.
    congrats

I love this pic! It looks so surreal. I haven't seen very many Holgas before coming to this site but this has to be one of the coolest ones I've seen. The colors are fantastic, and it really does look like the woman was just pasted into the pic (in a good way). Great photo!

    Thanks for commenting everyone.
I assure you that the woman (my wife), was not cut and pasted into the photograph, as it looks. My Holga aesthtic is to keep it as real as possible, because the Holga distorts things enough with out me adding or subtracting from it.

Really nice pic, brian. Not having seen anything from a Holga before this place and seeing all those that you have done, I can honestly say I am very intrigued by them. This may be one of the best you have done, imo at least. Colors are bright and your wife does have that sort of pasted in look. You definitely seem to have this particular type camera down pretty good.

Excellent Brian, the darkness of the sand and your wife\s posture make this a great Holga image.

    Well done
