This area of my local park I know very well as I search for orioles and warblers in this section so I knew it wasn't a stump or rock. The first shot is an uncropped shot with the 500mm. She stayed there for quite a while as I searched for birds and got a second shot (cropped significantly) as I got closer. It wasn't until I got home that I found out that "it" was in fact a "she"![]()

Some people call them woodchucks, we call them groundhogs - belongs to the marmot group. As common along the side of the road as roadkill; but surprising very few of these become roadkill themselves. As OT mentioned, very destructive as they make large and extensive tunnel systems. And, as you can see, they make a lot of babies
