    Barn on Halls Valley Rd
I took a nice little ride during the golden hour this morning. What do you think? Mostly what do you think of the crop?

I like it we have lots of barns here in Kentucky, so I think they are interesting. I like the crop it off centers the barn which is good. The photo gives you that brisk early morning feel. John

I like it. I think I would crop it with a little less ground and just a bit more sky then bring out the colors a bit more in the shy and barn. Just my humble opinion.:)

Nice shot Greg! I think I would crop about half of the foreground off also, Jeff

Hmmm I think the barn is too centered. If it were me, I would have shot it from several feet to the left and included more of the sunset. More sky and less foreground, more room right and less left.

Guess I'm just different, but I like the foreground. Barns relate more to land than to sky.
The only cropping difference I might suggest is moving the barn a little more to the left,
since the trees in the background there are less interesting (they kind of of merge into
a blackness). I really do not mind the barn being centered vertically. You have the
complete top of the tree line, and the sky does add some beauty.

Here is one with a little less grass. Even though I thought the first wasn't centered. I did have the horizon placed on the lower third. But with that said I think I like this one better.

Oh and BTW, I like this shot. The light is really good and I'm a sucker for barns.

Its a great shot of a barn in a field, so I like seeing some of the field, 1st shot for me. Would love to see this barn on a foggy day

Thanks all. In the end I posted the second one on my site. I did boost the saturation just a tad more. Thanks for all of the help.

In the original version by including more foreground, I get the feeling that this is a photo with a barn in it. By eliminating some of the foreground it makes the barn more of the focus as the subject instead of just being included in the photo. I like the cropped version better. Just my thoughts, Jeff
