MMA photography: My best pics
It's been just over 2 years that I've been doing Combat Sports photography. I primarily shoot MMA, but also boxing, kickboxing, seminars, and occasionally training sessions. I started out shooting with the L-shaped Sony 717, moved up to the Canon XTi, and am currently shooting with the 40D. My first dedicated lens was a used Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, but it's too soft wide open for my liking. I moved on to a used 35mm f/2. Brighter and sharper most certainly, but no zoom option. I just sold my Tamron 28-75 in favor of the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. Much sharper wide open, and nice, wide angle lens at 17mm. I'll get to use it starting tommorow, and in the next few weeks to come.

You are doing a great job in you chosen area. Nice to have something different on the sports forum every once in a while. Don't think I could shot a lot of this, just a bit to much blood for me.
Re: MMA photography: My best pics
I usually keep my digital camera with me wherever I go. I love to click. When I' m holidaying with family, partying with friends or when I' m out on special occasions, I look for a chance, click, save, and share memories with my friends. After checking out the pics, I lookout for some of the best pics, edit them and share it on my blog or keep them with me. Everyone has a unique purpose for editing pictures. Whatever it is, I will show you how to edit digital photos better and for free.
First of all you you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars behind costly photo editing softwares like photoshop and corel draw.
Go for free softwares like Picasa. Picasa is my favorite free digital photo editing software as no other rival offers so much. Moreover, it also manages your photo album and you can share your digital photos on the web.

Outstanding work. Most of the folks here know the time and effort it takes to get several frames this good. I'd probably leave the thrid one out of my portfolio, though, it is a notch below the others.
Re: MMA photography: My best pics
Hi. I love doing photography and I am pretty good at editing and all that too. My boyfried hosts MMA fights and I want to start doing the photography for the fights. I have no real expirience with types of camera equipment, I just know how to shoot. I was wondering if anyone could help me find the best camera for the job. It needs to stay focused while the subjects are moving, it needs zoom and I want it to be able to take multiple pictures with one shot. And also be good to use at night. Can anyone help me find the right equipment for my first time photographing a MMA cage fight? Please and Thank you!!
