First Posting "Softball Allstars"

Re: First Posting "Softball Allstars"
Tony......great job. For the first time out, you really nailed the action. I think the shot of the pitcher should be straightened, though. At any rate, you make me want to go out and find a ball game to shoot.

Don't know how long you have been lurking but I can tell you I find very little to critique in these great shoots. If indeed you did gather some knowledge from other post you sure put it to good use. I love the slide shot and your timing was great on the others as well. Hope these aren't the last we will see from you.
Re: First Posting "Softball Allstars"
Great job Tony. You did real good capturing the action of the game and dealing with the lighting you had and your timing is right there.
The only thing I can really say negative is the horizon on your pitcher. I'd do a tighter crop, getting rid of the empty space above her and fixing the horizon.
Looking forward to more from you.
Re: First Posting "Softball Allstars"
Very nice! These are really great shots and top notch action captures. Welcome to the forum.
Re: First Posting "Softball Allstars"
I really like that 4th image.
Helps you had good light, and good colours.
The background is blurred enough that even the white van doesn't intrude too much.
Even shooting against the light the first picture is good.
Would have been so easy to lose the eyes behind the bars of the helmet mask.
Keep them coming !
Re: First Posting "Softball Allstars"
Thanks for all your comments. I do enjoy sports photography alot. Football is my favorite. Now that I have the right lens for it I'm getting excited for fall. Last season I had to rent it and that was a hassle but worth it. I will post more often. Thanks again.
