    Mason Neck Morning
I took these yesterday while on a determined hunt for eagles and herons. The herons showed up, but were too far out on the bay for me to get great photos of them. The adventure turned out better than expected because there were some great chances to learn about light.

I think you did very well with the light. There's detail in dark areas and nothing is blown out. I like the third best. The first one is very good, however, I think it would benefit from wider angle so more of tree shows. That's personal preference though.

These are all very good shots. The compositions are strong, although i agree with Frog about opening up a bit on the tree in the first. The lighting is what really enhances these as well. Lighting is so important and these are a great example of how good lighting can make the day. Nice work

They are all clear and clean. I like the first and third the best. The first, I think I may crop out some of that right side area, placing the moon at the 2/3 inflection point of the image. The bottom one is moody, but somehow if only the sun's reflection was a little bit stronger, I think it would make it a more interesting shot. Nice work

Thank you for all the feedback, I am going to try to make best use of all of it. The third image is my personal favorite, there is a second image from a different angle that goes with it. I will try to post it later. Every time I go out with my camera, I learn something new.
