Flame Thrower
This was taken at "The Thorn" a production put on by New Life church in Colorado Springs,CO on Easter weekend. The drama was a depiction of Jesus's last 24 hours and this was one of the Devils evil demons who was fighting against Angels of God. What do you think?

Magnificant. You've catured to me, what seems like an extremely powerful image.
Great job, mate.

Re: Flame Thrower
awesome, nicely captured, I see no flaws.

Re: Flame Thrower
Great shot. The only thing I can see that 'might' have been better is if there were more definition in the flames. The lighting is very good.

Re: Flame Thrower
This is a very good capture, Dave. The framing is powerful, and the exposure very well. If you have not done so already, you may want to see if the New Life church would be interested in using your picture for promotional purposes.
Well done

Re: Flame Thrower
Powerful powerful image! I can only imagine what it was like in real life. I agree, this should be used by the church. All I can say is WOW!

Re: Flame Thrower
First of all I was very surprised to get a sticky so quickly after joining the site. Thanks to whoever picked it.
Thanks to all who commented on my photo. It helps to know what appeals to people and what doesn't.
To GB, if I could have have a few more attempts at this photo Iwould have adjusted the exposure to get that definition of the flames, yet this not possible so I'll just have to live with the image as it is. Thanks for the suggestion for next time.

You're right, of course. But this is a tough exposure and he'd have to give up critical shadow detail for more detail in the flames. It depends on how much post-processing has been done, though. It's even possible that there is more highlight detail to be had. I would have tried to shoot this dark to hold the highlights and then lightened up the person. In any case, I hesitate to be critical of the expodure here. It's such a tricky lighting situation that everyone should be grateful for this, as it is.
