Nice shot Pez. Perhaps a little distortion on the side there, but nothing too drastic. The only thing I wish it had was the homework in focus too, would let the viewer know what he was doing.

wish his side wasn't chopped off as much, other than that, great shot.

    Thanks GB,

Shot at 18 mm so there is some distortion which I tried to correct on PS. Only the first line isn't clear in the print, I was really making sure the eyes would be sharp. Thanks for the input.

    Brent,

Thanks for the reply. I went tight on the side to give room for the homework.

I think the crop is good, almost like he's leaning against the edge of the photo. I love the expression.

    Thanks Molaselake,

The expression is how he really felt about the homework.

    Cute portrait.
    His expression is priceless.
The lighting is really good too.
His pose and the placement paper and pencil make for a great composition.

Great portrait. The tight crop on the side is ok, for me, as Liz said. The placement of the papers, pencil, lighting, and the doors in the bg which give me the feel of it being a kid in his room trying to get homework out of the way . . . Very nice overall
