Q-Tip (repost)
This was posted yesterday, but seems to have locked up, so Paul had me repost it. )I hope it was worth the trouble.:blush2: ) I orginally put this on critique, too, but I'm not sure it is going over big.
<br>
This is a very young brown anole that let me get pretty close. He was about 1 1/2" long with a head and body smaller than a Q-tip. Taken with a Nikon D200 and Tamron 90mm macro lens with 1.4x teleconverter. Both cropped some.

Re: Q-Tip (repost)
Wow- that IS tiny. I like the second one better, I think that the first one might have too much out of focus area. I also like the colors on the second one. Cool deal that you got it to sit still long enough for you to get those shots! :)

Re: Q-Tip (repost)
well worth the trouble, though I couldn't get OT's reply over here correctly because it goes by time of post.... his was the thread starter :wink: I moved your post to a new thread and you can't tell !
All's well that ends well :D

Re: Q-Tip (repost)
Great detail and fascinating patterning around the eyes. Don't know that I've ever looked at one of these this close before. Cool images.

Re: Q-Tip (repost)
I think this is the best caged animal shot I've ever seen. It is caged right?
Usually seeing the container in the surroundings ruin the shot, IMO. In this case it works very nice.
THE SIZE OF A QTIP?!?!?!?! Wow!

That's funny -- the "cage" is nylon screening around a pool. :D I've never measured it, but the threads that make it up aren't any thicker than a mechnical pencil's lead. These lizards come and go and like to hang out on the screen hunting for bugs.
