According to Sally Smith Clemens, Olympus Product Manager, the E-2 "will ship in 2007." What you see here (and in my first, short post) is a more recent build but as always, subject to change. You gotta think that if they're launching this year, their manufacturing needs to start ramping pretty soon...(total speculation on my part). Sally also mentioned that a number of technologies found in the new E-510 DSLR were originally bound for the E-2 before the engineers put E-2 things on pause due to quality concerns.
Nice to see that the number of control buttons aren't excessive, and the curves imply something that will sit nicely in your hands.
