What is the difference between these
When I get finished working on a picture in CS5 and click on "SAVE AS" there are two different JPEG options and I have always just picked the first one. What is the difference between the two, Jeff
Re: What is the difference between these
What are the options? - Terry
Re: What is the difference between these
first choice.... JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*JPE)
second choice.... JPEG 2000 9*.JPF ;*.JPX;*.JP2;*.J2C;*.J2K;*.JPC
There are many other choices but these are the two JPEG choices, Jeff
Re: What is the difference between these
jpeg 2000 is a new jpg standard that has some benefits, but is not readable by most web browsers and therefore has little value to us. – Terry

Thanks Terry, I haven't ever used it before but was wondering if I should. You answered my question, Jeff
Re: What is the difference between these
JPEG 2000 is touted as being lossless, like .tiff files and if I recall correctly, can save layers as well (not entirely sure on that last part). But it currently has the limitation Terry spoke of.

Thanks for the additional info, Jeff
