    viewing software
I've tried google, and I'm not sure how to word my search criteria. So I'll try here and see if such a thing is possible. What I'm wondering, is if there is a program that allows viewing of images while the camera is hooked to a laptop? Kind of like a portrait photographer taking shots, and allowing the customer to view, without removing the memory card of downloading images for viewing. Say, if your taking photos for a directory type publication, and have several shots to make, and a short time frame. So you can take the shot, look at it on the screen, eyes are open and smile looks OK, and move on. Thanks in advance for all and any help.
By the way, I'm shooting a Fuji Finepix S5000.
    Thanks,
    Randy

If I understand you correctly, you're talking about shooting "tethered." This is pretty common for studio photographers with digital SLRs or high-end medium format cameras with digital backs. However, I'm not sure about compact cameras like your Fujifilm S5000. Maybe someone else here will know. In any case, I would try working the words "tethered" and /or "studio" into your searches. If you do find a solution that works for your camera, please let us know. I am very curious and I'm sure someone else will want to know.

thanks John! I'll try searching some more. Just to give you a more detailed description of what I'm looking for............here's the scenario.

I'm taking some portraits for a directory (not professional, of course). I was just nominated for the job. I have a few to do, in a short time period. I would like to take the shot, have the subject look at the screen, and say "looks good", or "try one more". I don't want to take the shot, turn off the camera, remove the card, put in the slot, then open the pic.............then reverse order for the next subject.

I know I can hook my camera to my television via audio/video rca cables, turn it on, and the tv becomes the viewfinder. If I hook to laptop via USB, my viewfinder only shows the USB symbol. I don't have rca jacks on my laptop. Thanks again!
