Settings when going from acr to ps cs3

Okay I am not sure which is best to use for going from acr to ps cs3. Should I set the res to 300 dpi, or 240, or lower?? What about bit size?? Maybe I am getting my terms wrong as I don't have acr open at the moment. But what does everyone else use??

Re: Settings when going from acr to ps cs3

Basically, res doesn't make a whit of difference, as print resolution will be determined by the pixel dimensions of the image. That said, I set mine at 300 ppi, so that the image dimensions accurately reflect the maximum size that the image can be printed at full print resolution.

I open my acr images at at bit depth of 16 bits. At some point, the image needs to be converted to 8 bits/channel, as that is what the printer is likely to need.

The whole point of shooting Raw is to start with more information, and carry as much information as possible through to the final image. Therefor, any edits you can do at the 16 bit depth should be done before converting to 8bit mode.
