Nx2 ???

Hi Gang

I have something going on with nx2 . I downloaded my card and all the pics appear in nx2. When i got to my pic librarie in win7 some of the pics arent there and the ones that due show up have a gold lock in the corner. Any ideas??

ok gang i think i may be on to something . For the first time today i shot some nef raw photos. Those seem to be the ones that win7 cant open in my picture library. The ones i shot in jpeg are fine. So i think i need to convert all the raw files to jpeg somehow so i can use them in win7 . Any ideas????

Jeff - Normally, Windows will not be able to open or render a thumbnail of a proprietary image format like Nikon RAW files. I have heard of plug-ins that allow this, but have not tried them. In the meanwhile, you will need a RAW editor to view and open your images. Photoshop has one built in (sort of), and Elements may also. Nikon has a few software apps on their website - see Photo Editing Software | Digital Imaging Software | Nikon. I haven't tried any of them, but looks like View NX2 is free though Capture NX 2 isn't.
