Lightroom 4 Beta Is Out

Adobe has released a Lightroom 4 beta and it looks sweet. I rounded up some videos and put together a little preview page for you guys.

This is looking like a really solid upgrade. I don't remember being this interested in LR3...

I saw this yesterday and downloaded, but haven't installed yet.

Awesome. I'm assuming this would be a paid upgrade for current users? I'm just curious, if that's the case what is the upgrade pricing normally? I saw one of my favorite computer hardware/etc. sites online just started a sale on LR3 until the 1st for $149 and I got all excited but then I saw this post lol. So now I'm wondering which would be cheaper LR3 @ $149 + upgrade to LR4, or just wait and buy LR4. I wasn't really in a place where I really wanted to shell out the $$$ right now but if it's worth it, I might have to go for it.

When it is released it probably will be about 1/2 price for existing LR customers.
I've upgraded every release from 1.0, to 2.0 to 3.0 and will probably upgrade to LR4 as well.

Hmm so I checked, and at least for LR3 the upgrade is $100 while full price is $299. Any idea if that's a standard pricing setup? Or do they follow a similar ratio but raise the prices each time a new version comes out? I guess in the end it might be more worth it for me to just wait for LR4 and buy it when I'm more willing to spend the $$ rather than try to save $50 and buy right now. Plus if the upgrade is more than $150 I didn't gain anything anyway then.

I've never used any photo workflow programs, and so my first is this LR4beta. I have a feeling I am going to be hopelessly addicted by the time the beeta period runs out. :(

I installed the Beta last night and I like it! My start with Lightroom was ver 3, I am certain that I will upgrade. The Beta edition will expire March 31, so I think the release date will be somewhere around that date,

just tried LR 4 beta, WAY BETTER better conversion than the sony software that came with the nex5n
