Here is a weird one for you... (Elements issues)
I got a bunch of pictures from someone. I import them into Elements, and a handful of them are in B&W. But when I look at them in Explorer, they are in color! Why is Elements removing my color and how do I get it to go back? :mad2: I have no idea what program this woman uses, but I assume she must have done some post processing already?

Hmm. There is probably a simple explanation somewhere.

But to take a shot at it, how are you looking at them in IE? Just the thumbnails or the entire image? Jpgs have embedded thumbnail images inserted at creation time and they don't get updated in post processing. I use the app I mentioned in another posting here to remove them (better than showing incorrect data).

When I first imported the pictures, they were color as thumbnails. When I went to look at one full size, they converted to B&W. Went back to thumbnails, and they were B&W (so I think that Elements may have just been catching up?).

That makes sense. I doubt she took them in B&W. I probably can't on my own call back the color then, right?
